Designer Cakes By April

April Goff’s passion is making super fun cakes.  I have been baking yummy treats since I was a kid and was even known to make my own birthday cake if I couldn’t talk my mom into making a cake that I thought was fun enough for my big day.

Since then I didn’t do much in the baking world while I finished college with a degree in Communication and had a career in the student loan business for ten years.  I finally quit my job two and a half years ago when my first baby was six months old.

I discovered the cake shows on the Food Network and decided I wanted to give it a try.  I made my first cake for my daughter’s first birthday and since then it has turned into a small side business for me that I have enjoyed more than I could have imagined.  With each cake I do I try to learn more and more and stretch my creativity and imagination beyond what I used to think were my limits of creation.
