Extreme Makeover – Studiopress WordPress Style
Recently, I have had the pleasure of working with Taryn McPhedran Perry of Choose 2 Be Fit on a new website for her business. Taryn is one of the top Beachbody coaches and was ready for a new site to help take her business to the next level. Taryn has a ton of great energy and wanted a site that allowed her to better develop her personal brand and share her awesome energy online.
After a few phone calls with Taryn and getting an idea of what she was looking for in her new site we came up with some of the following criteria:
- Flexibility in layout
- SEO improvement
- Ability to prominently feature articles from different categories
- Improved navigation with ability to grow as her business grows
- Sidebar flexibility
- Improved image display in posts, pages and header
- Improved site security
- Ease of use
Once the criteria for the site had been determined, I presented Taryn with several choices and she decided to go with a Studio Press site built on the Genesis Framework. I really like how the site turned out and we were able to meet all of her criteria. The Genesis Framework was great to work with and I am looking forward to developing more sites with this framework. It’s awesome to have access to two great frameworks, Thesis and Genesis.
We still have a few finishing touches to add to the site, but in just two days, the transition from her old site to her new site was complete. That means her site was “under construction” for less than 48 hours which is a pretty quick turn-around time for a site update that was pretty significant. I’ve included some before and after photos below. And of course you can see her new site live here -> Choose2BeFit.com
Congratulations on your new site Taryn, you are awesome to work with and I look forward to helping fine-tune your site and grow your business. ~Cheers
