I can remember when I first thought seriously about Twitter. Last March, I was at the SXSW conference, a conclave in Austin, Tex., where technology, media and music are mashed up and re-imagined, and, not so coincidentally, where Twitter first rolled out in 2007. As someone who was oversubscribed on Facebook, overwhelmed by the computer-generated RSS feeds of news that came flying at me, and swamped by incoming e-mail messages, the last thing I wanted was one more Web-borne intrusion into my life.

If you are not using Twitter yet or if you are unsure of how to put it to good use, this article in the New York Times is very well done. Hard to believe, but I actually read this in the actual newspaper! CRAZY!

As the FourSquare Mayor of Sign Of The Whale, I feel compelled to post this great article that was done on one of my favorite places in Tempe.  If you have not been in to meet Bruce (Owner), Mike (Manager), Andy (Bartender), Chris (Server) Sharon (Server) and the rest of the gang, I highly encourage you to stop in and say hello.  They are all great people that contribute to a great experience.  My favorite items include the Chowder, Burgers, Spinach Seafood Dip, aahhh what am I typing this for, it's all good.

The Social Latte Presents!

This is a short post, but I wanted to get something up as a place holder for anyone who may visit TheSocialLatte.com before or after the East Valley Business Expo.  I am honored and super excited to have been selected as a speaker for the event and can’t wait to meet a bunch of new people and catch up with a bunch of old friends.  Please be sure to find me and say hello.  I’ll be wondering around answering questions, networking and enjoying the great atmosphere.
